Who deserves the title as the worlds biggest has been debated for years, and has been tested through time under some very notable names such as The Beatles, U2, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Coldplay, and a few others. But the music industry has shifted, and the world has a new king of the jungle, or should I say Dragon of the castle. Yes, I'm speaking about Imagine Dragons. I flat out believe that Imagine Dragons have become the biggest band in the world. Perhaps not the best but most definitely the biggest. First of all, you might be wondering why I would make such a claim, and the answer is simple. Half of you reading this are outraged and half of you jumping in joy agreeing with me. Why? Because Imagine Dragons are the worlds biggest band and you have a strong opinion on them. Lets first look at some facts. Imagine Dragons first album; Night Visions is one of the most well known albums of the last few years. As a matter of fact, Night Visions is currently #83 on the Billboard 200 charts. Now charting so high is impressive but what is truly remarkable is that this album was released in 2012. According to Billboard.com, Night Visions has been in the top 200, 158 weeks straight, thats 2 weeks over three years. On top of that, Imagine Dragons newest album, Smoke + Mirrors released at number 1 on the Billboard top 200 and has remained strong since then. Also, Imagine Dragons have had monster hits that have practically destroyed the radio such as Radioactive, Demons, It's Time, I Bet My Life, and On Top Of The World. The truth is that everyone knows Imagine Dragons, whether they like them or not they still know them. Just like Justin Bieber was the biggest pop star in the world at one point even though the majority of people hated him. Although, let it be said that Imagine Dragons are much better and deserve much less hate than Justin Bieber. But let it be continued that Imagine Dragons are everywhere; media, radio, billboard, billboard.com and they have worked extremely hard to get where they are today and deserve some recognition. Which, most likely isn't needed from us as they are currently on a major worldwide tour with thousands of fans chanting their name. Regardless, take a listen to the worlds biggest band today, because if you don't the odds are the radio, tv or a friend will play them for you.
