Many know Jon Foreman as the frontman of grammy winning rockband Switchfoot but over the last year, Foreman has enjoyed a succesful solo singer/songwriter career with The Wonderlands project. Released under the lowercase people record label, Foreman set out to release 4 EPs, with a total of 24 songs; one for every hour. The project was a success with the first installment knocking off Ed Sheeran's album titled "X" from number one on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. The entire collection feautres 4 EP's titled: Sunlight, Shadows, Dusk, and Dawn all of which containt 6 songs. The project shows Foremans versatility as a songwriter with many indie folk inspired songs versus Switchfoots alternative rock pieces. The largest individuel success of the extended previews is the first single of his recent solo career named Caroline, which to date has reached almost 3 million streams on Spotify. Here are Fresh Penguins top 5 favourite songs from the 24 project starting with Caroline,

1. Caroline: Perhaps the most folk inspired song by Jon Foreman. The piece features harmonica and Foremans signature raspy vocals. The song is a happy, daytime stroll song that any listener can enjoy.

2. My Coffin: From the Shadows EP, this song is backed by unique drums, a driving shaker and uplifting ambience.

3. Terminal: This song perfectly captures the most Switchfoot-esque emotion in any of his personal songs. It contains chilling lyrics, a signature Switchfoot cord progression and is the sort of song that keeps you listening. It is both uplifting and dark leaving you emotionally unsure.

4. Run Free: From the Dawn EP, this song song features an extremely happy and catchy chorus chanting the lyrics "come on won't you run, come on won't you run free". A song enjoyable by all.

5. You Don't Know How Beautiful You Are: Most likely the catchiest song by Jon Foreman. It is backed by upbeat, ambient synths and is a song that invokes happiness.

Note: 3 of the 5 songs are from the Sunlight EP. It was the first of the 4 EPs and the happiest of all them signifying the Sunlight hours of the day. The project invokes the right emotion for each point of the day which is truly amazing but I chose to feature most of the happier songs, though all EPs are equally well written in my opinion.
