Moses Gunn Collective - The best kept secret in indie psych pop

In recent years, indie and psychedelic rock/pop have become more closely bound, as evidenced by psych pop frontrunners Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Temples (among others) garnering heavy critical acclaim not only in psychedelic circles but in indie/alternative circles as well, routinely landing albums on year-end lists. Most modern psychedelic outfits also wear the "indie" label proudly alongside the more obvious psych label, and this is a welcome change.
That brings us to this article's feature, Moses Gunn Collective, a budding indie psych pop act hailing from Australia (also the home of indie/psych giants Tame Impala). Moses Gunn Collective are a five-piece band with one EP, a full-length LP, and a tour supporting indie pop act BØRNS under their belt. They have seen minor success with their single "Shalala" (the song that attracted me to the band) getting a few thousand hits on Spotify and YouTube, but are otherwise mostly flying under the radar.
On their debut LP "Mercy Moutain", Moses Gunn Collective deliver explosive, trippy, and above all catchy tracks worthy of at least as many year-end lists as Tame Impala has appeared on in 2015, but just haven't yet reached the audience they quite honestly deserve to have.
